Advi, LLC (“Advi,” “we,” “us”) provides personal finance management and, together with our banking partner, deposit and payment services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
1. Information we collect
Identity information
To open a deposit account, federal law requires us and our banking partner to collect information that identifies you, including your name, residential address, date of birth, Social Security number, and, where required, a copy of a government-issued ID.
Financial account data
Balances and transactions in your Advi accounts, and — when you connect external accounts through Plaid — account details, balances, transaction history, liabilities, and holdings at other institutions.
Usage data
Device type, app interactions, and server logs.
2. How we use your information
- Open and service your Advi accounts, including identity verification and fraud screening required by law
- Process transactions, deposits, and transfers
- Calculate your Advi Score and personalize rates and rewards based on it
- Generate personalized coaching content
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the service
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information with:
- Our banking partner, which holds your deposits and issues your card, to open and service your accounts and to satisfy its own legal obligations
- Plaid Inc., to connect external financial accounts, subject to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy
- Payment networks and processors, to execute the transactions you initiate
- AI and cloud service providers, to generate coaching content and host the service
- Regulators, law enforcement, and others where required by law
Our banking partner maintains its own privacy notice for the accounts it holds, which is provided to you at account opening.
4. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to customer information is restricted and monitored. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
5. Retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as required by banking regulations, which obligate us and our banking partner to retain certain records for several years after an account closes.
6. Your choices
- Access and correct the information we hold about you
- Close your accounts and request deletion of data not subject to regulatory retention
- Disconnect external accounts at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications and non-essential data uses

7. Children
Advi is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
